HONDA MALAYSIA ACHIEVES 51% OF ANNUAL SALES TARGET IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2015

Setting a challenging sales target of 85,000 units for 2015, Honda Malaysia is on a positive track towards achieving its annual target with 43,597 units sold in the first half of the year.

Honda Malaysia began 2015 encouragingly as the No.1 in the Non-National Segment from January through June. Honda contributed 13.5% to the Total Industry Volume (TIV) as of June 2015 which was 2.3 points higher compared to the same period last year. On a yearon-year comparison for the same period, the sales units increased by 6,408 units or 17% higher compared with the 37,189 units sold in the first half of 2014.

HONDA MALAYSIA EXTENDS PRECAUTIONARY UPDATE TO ANOTHER 143,970 UNITS

Editor's Note : Please note that this is a precautionary measure. Meaning Honda Malaysia just wants to be safe rather than sorry. This does not mean your Honda is unsafe, even if it is listed below. However, our advice is for you to still go and do the update as soon as you can. If you have not received any notice, you should still call Honda at their hotline to check.

Petaling Jaya, 10 July 2015 – Honda Malaysia today announced a precautionary update for another 143,970 units of Honda vehicles. The affected models involved in this update are City (2006-2012 YM), Civic (2006-2011 YM), Civic Hybrid (2007-2011 YM) CR-V (2007-2011 YM), Insight (2011-2012 YM), Jazz (2009-2012 YM) and Stream (2007-2012 YM). 

Honda Malaysia is taking this proactive measure to ensure customer safety and deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to all customers. This precautionary effort is to enable the replacement of the driver front airbag inflator with newly produced inflators.

Honda Malaysia would like to assure its customers that all current selling models are not affected.
 
Honda Malaysia will be informing all affected customers via notification letters, which will include details of the product update. Customers who receive these letters are advised to send their vehicles to the nearest authorised Honda dealer for inspection. The replacement works will be carried out once the parts are ready, and all costs of parts and labour will be borne by Honda Malaysia.

New Honda model : BR-V - Bold Runabout Vehicle

Honda released the first official sketches of the all-new Honda BR-V Prototype, a new generation crossover utility vehicle, which will make its world premiere at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show 2015. The event is scheduled for 20 - 30 August 2015, in Tangerang, Indonesia.
 
The new BR-V features tough and solid exterior design with high ground clearance, big and stylish alloy wheels and sleek roof rails. The model also offers a comfortable and spacious cabin with seven seats in a 3-row configuration. The new BR-V is powered by a 1.5L gasoline engine which provides sporty performance and great fuel efficiency with two advanced transmissions available. High standard safety features will be the base of the model as it has always been for every Honda products.



In order to provide products that respond to the needs of customers around the world, Honda has been focused on strengthening R&D in each region to create more self-reliant operations. Based on its capability to develop regional models, Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (HRAP) in Thailand developed the new BR-V for the Asian market. This is the 3rd model developed by HRAP.

The official sketches were released at the midyear media gathering event of P.T. Honda Prospect Motor, which will participate in the Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show 2015.
