Thanks foor taking the time to write, Wong great article, I enjoyed the articles as always.

I found the speed limiter removal interesting. A search on the internet and youtube revealed that the normal Citys and Fits don't get this removal, what prompted them to remove it?

Too many "complains" of not enough top speed??

:)

Nice. Another instance we get minor +1 up over JDM. It's quite logical since there's no legal requirement for 180kmh limit here and enthusiasts will probably reflash the ECU with limiter in place anyway. Real enthusiasts are sensible drivers (like WongKN). Way to go, Honda!

Ya, that is the logical move. Probably bragging rights mostly, but if these guys have access to track then it would be handy. Like you put it, it's a pretty cool +1 over JDM. I think I read somewhere that people are complaining about the speed limiter in place, I even remember WongKN in a TOVA test drive article also noted that when he tested the City at Sepang, although at the time probably did not realized it was the speed limiter(?), as the behavior was not expected...

News flash! The new IMA will use a double clutched transmission(manual). What? You knew it already? How? Who? Where? TOV? Darn TOV! :-(

It looks like the engine has a regular its own clutch and IMA motor has its own. That would still make it possible to make it a manual car. It seems it will be an Atkinson engine because they think a newer battery and a high out put e-motor would be strong enough to assist. I'd still think they'd put an e-motor at the output shaft of the trans.

Manual? Seriously?? on TOV they just say there is the DCT, not manual..

DCT is a double clutched (manual)transmission. What I meant was it's still possible they could make a manual hybrid if they want to. They might be internally different though.

Battery issues (a) if used as weekend only car and (b) hot Malaysian weather, like we have now Feb 2014
