The Jazz Hybrid is coming !

I can confirm that Honda will be launching the Jazz Hybrid here in Malaysia in the very near future. It will be this month itself though I don't think I should disclose the actual date of the launch at this time. I believe interested buyers will probably already know roughly when as they should be able to place a booking for the car now. This makes a total of three hybrid models in the Malaysian line-up.

Yes!!! I heard about this rumor and after all it's the very logical move by Honda. They are probably scurrying around to launch it quickly, but... STILL NEEDS TO BE FASTER!!!

Now if only I could find the same interest rates for roughly the same payment monthly I might trade in my current car for that one instead!!

BTW, I heard they are dropping the City S and only selling the City E facelifted from now on.

Now, City E is 90K +.. and the facelifted version would probably be slightly more expensive... soooo I think they are preparing to slot the Jazz Hybrid below City E.

Tell me if this a correct assesment.....

A salesman claims the price will be RM85k. But I know firsthand they don't know the price until the launch date. In fact, no-one outside of product planner knows until the launch date. I asked the HMSB PR guy directly and he claims the price is wrong. I think it may be cheaper than this. The launch date is late next week.

Jazz should come to it's original roots here in Malaysia. For the price it commands, it should always come from it's homeland, Japan, nowhere else. Secondly it should cater for 2 extreme markets : a) absolute fuel savings and value for price (this hybrid fits) b) absolute fun and sporty (a real Fit RS - cvt/multimatic is fine). For me, I may get both for my household, fitting each for its purpose. This coming from a true Jazz fan.

It's 95K. I'm disappointed, keeping my current car.

Yes, it is a bit pricey. I was expecting around City pricing but I think they don't want to sabotage City sales. This is CBU from Japan and is the full spec version, including paddle shifter. Price in Japan is over 2 million yen.

On top of that, I'm not sure if true, but someone told me that because it's a 1.3 sized engine the interest rates will be quite a bit higher than what I am paying for my 1.5.

So either way the rates are not going to be justified, and with this price it is entirely off my list.

Now, to win the lottery so I can have the CR-Z and not have to worry about everything else.
